We had a great day yesterday! We went to a Blue Claws game (our minor league baseball team) and not only did we get to see an awesome game (they won 9-2) our favorite NASCAR driver's car was being shown there, as well.
It was a gorgeous day. Nice & sunny but not too hot. There was even a rainbow! So that's my HSMS SOS (Show Off Sunday) photo today.
Of course, today it's cloudy and yucky out.
Not sure if I'll have much time to post this week because Logan is off of school for Spring break. We'll see.

My Confession
The time has come, I need to spill my dirty little secret. It may come a shock to some of you, but here goes... I like, no I love, NASCAR. I know, I know. If you told me a few years ago that I'd be watching cars drive around in circles for hours, I wouldn't have believed you. It's my son's fault. He got us into it. It all started when he fell in love with the Disney Cars movie. But seriously, NASCAR is very exciting. Lots of races are won by only a few inches. Cars go flying and flipping and crashing and the guys don't get hurt. It can really get your blood pumping. And speaking of getting your blood pumping, I need to show the 4 most compelling reasons for watching NASCAR. (don't tell hubby about this)
Dale Earnhardt Jr. (my favorite driver)
Carl Edwards
Jamie McMurray
Kasey Kahne
If these reasons aren't enough to convince you, then nothing is. ;0)

Costco Craziness & New Templates
When my husband & I go to Costco we have no control over ourselves. We wind up with insane quantities of items with no place to put them. But how can you turn down those awesome prices? We actually bought a box of 3000 straws. 3000! And it was only like $9. Of course we dropped like $250 on our order, but on the bright side, we will never need to purchase straws for the rest of our lives.

I actually went with this definition: free from or not exposed to danger or harm

K update & Awesome Bargains!
Sadly, we had to get the Principal involved with the situation with Logan's teacher. Luckily, he's a very nice and understanding person who realizes that Logan is going to be at that school for a long time so we need to have a good relationship. If nothing else, at least it is known that there is a problem. So we'll see what happens.

Kindergarten Blues!
Logan brought his report card home on Friday and I have to say his teacher really ticks me off! He is 6 years old and in Kindergarten. His teacher is pure evil (He was having a hard time in the beginning of the year getting his coat on by himself and she told him, "I can't dress you every day". What Kindergarten teacher says that?). Logan is a little shy, but very smart. Not to brag but he has been reading since he was 4 years old. His dingbat teacher writes on his report card that he has trouble with the short a sound as well as, other letters. He also has trouble with the number 0-20. Huh?! As I write this, he is reading a chapter book. How could he do that if he doesn't know his letters? And yesterday, he was playing Monopoly and counting money. And if there really was a problem, why am I just hearing about it now? I truly can not wait until this year is over. Ok, rant over.

Here's my HSMS photo of the day.
Lever - A bar resting on a pivot used to help move a heavy load.
I had to cheat on this one. I couldn't think of anything to take a pic of around here. This photo is a few years old of my hubby & Logan at the park.

Earth Hour - SPS Photo
On March 29, 2008 at 8 p.m., join millions of people around the world in making a statement about climate change by turning off your lights for Earth Hour, an event created by the World Wildlife Fund.
Earth Hour was created by WWF in Sydney, Australia in 2007, and in one year has grown from an event in one city to a global movement. In 2008, millions of people, businesses, governments and civic organizations in nearly 200 cities around the globe will turn out for Earth Hour. More than 100 cities across North America will participate, including the US flagships–Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix and San Francisco and Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Click here for more info.
We'll be turning out our lights tonite. We'll be watching the Nick Kid's Choice Awards, hosted by Jack Black. My son has been looking forward to it for weeks, so we can't miss it. But we will be watching it in the dark.Today is portrait day at HSMS. Today I photographed my favorite subject, my son Logan. (I don't do self portraits!)

A new web address
Well, after my royal screw-up (see post below) I had to get a new web address. My new url is now www.heatherwatsondigital.com.
On a personal note, I began spring cleaning my DS's bedroom yesterday. Uggh! I didn't realize he had so much stuff! If anyone has any grand organizational tips, I'd love to hear them.
