I was cruising around the web and found this neat little gadget. It's called the Quik Pod and you can use it to actually get yourself in some of your pictures. I thought I'd share since I know most scrappers spend most of their time behind the camera and never in the photos.





I stumbled onto a great little site of a lady called The Toymaker.
On the front page she says "Welcome to my odd, little world of paper toys, holiday cards, valentines, sun boxes, baskets and bags, origami and ephemera... all for you to make. My goal is to help grownups and kids spend time together making things."

She has lots of free fun projects that you can print out and easily assemble. Here are two examples:



You guys know how I love my time wasters. Well, Google Fight is another one of them. Type in two keyboards and make them "fight". Actually what you are doing is just seeing how many hits the keyword gets on Google, but it's kinda entertaining nonetheless.

My fight was Big Bird vs. Oscar the Grouch. Sadly, Oscar didn't stand a chance. I guess he should be nicer to people.

Every Friday I try to share a few sites that I have found that offer up some kind of fun waste of time, cuz everyone needs a little fun.

The first one you might have seen already. It seems to have been around a while. But just in case you haven't seen it yet, I thought I'd share. The application at jacksonpollock.org lets you create a work of art similar to the works of painter Jackson Pollock.



Another nifty time waster is the ascii-o-matic. You can upload an image & turn it into ASCII or little squares. I chose the squares and used it for my Blogger photo.

Some fun stuff...

I stumbled upon a site called BookMooch. If you love to read & have a lot of books lying around that you don't know what to do with, BookMooch is for you. You list the books you want to give away and send them out to people who request them. For each one you get a point and can use the points to get the books you want. Read more about it here. I can't wait to get my books that I mooched.


Here's another fun stumble. Create Fake Magazine Covers with your own picture at MagMyPic.com. Not high res, but cute for online use. That's our dog, Harley.

Here are my HSMS pics for today & yesterday. Today's is a cheat that I took a few weeks ago & made a scrap lift LO with it using Angie's Cherish Life Kit by Angela Young for the Digitals newsletter. The original LO was by cfalbro and you can see it here.

Chill: A coolness in the air, a reduction in temperature, the onset of a cold or just plain chillin' out!

I love how this photo of Logan turned out!



Yesterday's photo: Cup - A small bowl shaped container usually for holding liquids. Show us a cup in your space today.

I love this cup. I bought it just after Easter last year and got it on clearance. Isn't it cute?

I apologize that I didn't get this up yesterday. It's 1 AM and I still haven't gone to bed yet, so it is sorta still Friday for me ;) So I have lots of stuff going on here.

And finally, my HSMS photo for Friday of a dress (A one piece item of clothing for girlies). This was a bit difficult because I am not a dress-type of girl and I have a son so there were no dresses to be found. I did however come across a doll of my mother's that was wearing a dress, so I took a pic of that. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Here it is:
